This Friday Bryn, Frans(seals) and I organized a program about cooking. It went pretty well beside the rain and the patrols made really impressive burgers(as instructed) with great sauces. I really enjoyed it and I hope every one did to. Thank you all for coming and cooperating with the schedule. Thanks to the judges for tasting and scoring the food(though I don't think it was a hardship).
Today we stood parade for the Poppy Day Memorial at the cannons on the Hermanus waterfront. Thanks you to all the Scouts who came and bolstered the numbers.
Don't forget to go to the V&A waterfront to have a look at the Volvo yachts that are in Cape Town till the 19 November. It is highly recommended for anyone interested in sailing. The committee had a good AGM and in the mean while the cubs rapped Christmas presents for the the underprivileged children. In the mean while Bryn(2nd, actually now PL) and me(now 2nd) took the sails out and had a look at them. When the parents came out of the AGM we had the fires going so in a couple of minutes everybody could braai. Bryn and I will be running the programs next week and it will be about cooking so try and BE THERE scouts!
Bryn(second) and me(third) potted around the store cleaning and fixing our sailboat. We aren't quite sure what the others did, something to do with rugby and Soweto road traffic, but we had a great time anyway. We intend to start sailing our sailboat either at sandvlei or here on our very own Hermanus lagoon. AGM is coming up so we hope to see as many of you as possible there this Friday.
